Under continued review, what to do?

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Aug 25, 2014 4:45 pm

I had a callback at my top choice firm last week. Just got an email that my application is "still under review" while they consider other candidates. I know this isn't the worst possible outcome -- they definitely dinged some candidates from my interview slot last week -- but I also know that they gave out offers to people who interviewed on my day, and my other options are pretty limited at this point. Any ideas on what, if anything, to do? Get in touch with my screener to let him know on the off chance he'd help out? Anything else?

your screener already went to bat for you by giving you a CB. best thing to do is keep hustling other firms and just assume this isn't going to happen. you very well could get the offer but they've clearly already evaluated you and at this point it is probably out of your hands.

Different anon who may be in the same situation at a different firm here... What if your screener interviewer happened to be the MP of the firm?
