Grand Rapids firms
I have some CBs there over the next couple weeks, does anyone have insight? Which firms have the best reputations? Which are the "nicest" to work for?

Varnum is almost certainly best for corporate work, WNJ is probably the "best" overall, Miller Johnson is strong as well. Interviewed with both Varnum and WNJ last year and got a good vibe from both, much lower billable reqs and better chances at partnership than the big Detroit/Chicago firms.

I have a cb with Varnum, waiting on wnj, and a cb with miller next week. From what I've heard Varnum is the best, but know for overbilling clients. Wnj is the best as far as balance and good work. Miller is also well respected. Debating between gr, Detroit and Chicago at the moment. Offer in 2 of the 3 markets so far with a few more cbs to go.

Re: Grand Rapids firms
Anyone know what the recruiting timeline is for GR firms? Stuck in screener limbo with a few.... obviously would love to get a CB... but I don't want to bug them every few weeks if they plan on issuing CB's into September anyways.
