Interview Wednesday, haven't heard anything since. I guess it's good that others haven't heard as well? I really really like Ropes.

One person has signaled that he has a Ropes NY offer in another thread, but it's unclear when he interviewed.

CB in Boston on 8/20; no word yet. I have a feeling their committee meets biweekly, I'm thinking Thursdays based on someone's post that they received an offer at the end of the week.

So it looks like in Boston at least the committee must have met sometime between 8/19-8/21. As someone already said they had a CB on the 20th but hadn't yet heard anything, I would bet they met on that day rather than on Thursday. But who really knows

I interviewed at Ropes Boston yesterday and from what one of my interviewers said it seems to me that only a few candidates will get really fast turn around decisions (very best/worst) and that the maybes will take a bit longer to sort out. The person said 10 days or so.

Either way, something something tea-leaves, something something mass mailing.

General rule seems to be that offers are made by phone, dings are done through email/snail mail.

Edit: This rule applies to all firms, not just Ropes.
