Interested in more corporate end work, maybe something like securities or capital markets. Interested in whether some of the old stories about CC's NY office are still impacting the firm's culture. I also would like to eventually work in London, but not sure if CC being a magic circle firm would actually make that easier to achieve. Any advice to help compare these firms would be great, particularly which has a more friendly work culture and which would lead to better exit options.

i know you wanted help, but when did your dechert offer come in?
in my llmited knowledge, i think it would only help you in the sense that you'll have an easier time moving to the London office of the firm in which you practice. if you want to move to another magic circle firm, I imagine it may help in showing you always had that intention, but i'm not sure. if it is dechert, which is not magic circle, they may not take you as seriously. but again, i'm not super knowledgeable on the topic.

Dechert offer was Thursday.
I had similar thoughts regarding trying to get to the UK, my main fear is just some of the older stories at CC NY.
