Sent a thank you email to a partner after my callback interview saying "...the firm's mergers and acquisition practice..."
I clearly left out the "s" after acquisition and realized my mistake but figured it'd be worse to draw attention to it so I let it go.
Should I panic or it's not the biggest deal in the world?

Chances are the evaluation was sent in before the thank you letter. Chances are partner won't read it. Chances are partner won't care enough to send to recruiting pointing out your mistake.

Jesus. No. Partner won't notice or care. Do not send follow up correction email. Go to the gym.

I freaked out over a comma in just the same way. Let it be and try to forget about it.

Interviewer here, unless I am slow (which is rare) I immediately delete all thank yous to create room in my inbox. Literally almost no chance a partner would ever open the email, only thing that matters is subject line.

Re: Am I being paranoid?
FWIW, I accidentally had a typo in a thank you to the Executive Partner of the office for which I was interviewing, and not only did he kindly respond, but he pretty much made an offer via email and beat recruiting to it. (Something along the lines of I hope you choose our firm, I think you'd really enjoy it here).Anonymous User wrote:Sent a thank you email to a partner after my callback interview saying "...the firm's mergers and acquisition practice..."

Chances are they won't notice it, but even if they do, partners are human too.
