Nag firm for decision post callback?
Is there a tasteful way to do so?

Re: Nag a firm for a decision post CB?
I emailed the recruiter to ask about a firm's typical hiring timeline about a week after a pre-OCI CB. Still haven't heard, but I think (hope!) it's fine. I acknowledged they are busy and tried to come off as respectful/non-entitled as possible.

Re: Nag firm for decision post callback?
You could say you have a soon-to-explode offer from another firm (i.e. my 28 days are running out at firm X, but I don't want to make a decision without having a response from your wonderful firm). You kind of backdoor in that they're your first, or at least preferred, choice since you wouldn't ask otherwise.
It'd be a lot better if the offer thing were true, even if you're fudging the timing.

If you're within a week, this is appropriate. Otherwise, that would be pretty shady to pullKidStuddi wrote:You could say you have a soon-to-explode offer from another firm (i.e. my 28 days are running out at firm X, but I don't want to make a decision without having a response from your wonderful firm).
