Which office? In Pittsburgh and Charlotte, they callback everyone and their mother. So it's probably not a high ratio.

I haven't heard about their no-offer rate. I'd be curious to hear more about that if anyone has info.

This was discussed in another thread, starting around this page http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 9&start=50 and continuing on.

I'm not entirely sure how prevalent their no-offers are, but worth seriously considering.

avoid if possible, obviously may not have a choice if it is your only offer but they offer around 60% (across all offices) so there is a chance you will get no offered even if you have credentials that make you think you'll get an offer (top school, etc.)

Must be very office-dependent.

Chicago office offered 8/9 summers last year and, as far as I know, offered 15/15 this summer.

K&L SA here. They no-offered across multiple offices, including the flagship Pittsburgh office. In my office, it certainly didn't seem like it was due to any major faux pas of the SAs (yes, multiple with an S) in question, but rather they just seem to be ok with hiring SAs and no-offering some. Really nice people otherwise, but it's a douchey thing to do. I wouldn't gamble with your future but YMMV.

I know this is a year old info (SA 2013 class) but vault says 71 of 76 summers in 2013 were offered full time jobs. That is quit a bit higher than this advertised 60%

The no-offer rate in the major offices has become a problem. In particular, Pittsburgh and New York. It was even more prominent this year.

If you would rather ignore the information from the people in this thread who know K&L well, that is your call.

How is it ignoring information when I just post what I found and am trying to have a discussion with others regarding this firm as I'm considering them and want to flesh everything out?

Another anon here. I think he was just implying that those stats kinda directly contradict what was going on with K&L this year so they can mislead is all.

The no-offer amount is WAY above that 71/76 percentage for this year (my office alone no-offered multiple people, and there have been several other office postings), so other anon was probably just saying don't give yourself a rosier picture by looking at older data.

Ya I'm just trying to make sure I have as much info as possible. So in your opinion are the people being no-offered deserving of it or does it seem almost random? I'd hate to seem to be doing well and end up with no offer. Referring to NY office specifically

Yeah, understood, looking at overall trends is helpful as well. At my office it seemed a mix of "deserving" the no-offer (if by deserving you mean less than average work quality - there were definitely no major workplace/social no-nos committed by the person to my knowledge) and random (I can't imagine what the other people I have in mind did to deserve it, they seemed quite professional / competent).

This is with the caveat that I was not in the NY office. I'd try as hard as possible to find alum of your school that summered there this year, or if you get the offer then ask these types of tough questions during the 2nd look.

Both are small offices but I heard that both LA and OC have sent out some offers.
