Didn't get invited for a firm at preselect OCI - need advice

Post by Anonymous User » Fri Aug 15, 2014 5:38 pm

I'm top 15% at a T30 law school. The school is 100% preselect. I got bids with a lot of big firms, but was not invited by two smaller (100 attorneys or so) regional firms that I am very interested in. I know that at a lottery school some people contact recruiters if they didn't get an interview, but what about at straight preselect? Should I just let it go?

You have literally nothing to lose by emailing them. The worst they can do is still say no, which puts you back in the same position you are in now. Email them and express your strong desire to work there, and if possible be specific as to why their firm/that city. Best of luck.
