How long for CBs?
Generally speaking, how long do firms take before extending CB offers? I've been hearing about some students at my school receiving CBs the day after screeners, unfortunately I'm not one of those people. I haven't been dinged either, so not sure what's going on.

This varies largely by market. NYC will generally be a day or two, but smaller markets/firms can take weeks. That said, callbacks usually go out before dings. If you've heard of cbs going out for a firm you interviewed with, your chances aren't high.

The above response is correct. If you have friends that have cbs, its not looking pretty. Sometimes, however, you will be on some kind of hold list, but I cant speak to how often this happens.

Anyone know if most firms send ding emails? Or radio silence=ding more often?

Almost everyone gives some sort of rejection. Unfortunately, it's often snail mailjbates14 wrote:Anyone know if most firms send ding emails? Or radio silence=ding more often?

It's most often e-mail, but occasionally snail mail. It's uncommon for a firm to not let you know one way or the other eventually. Last year, I think exactly one firm never sent me any response after a screener or callback.jbates14 wrote:Anyone know if most firms send ding emails? Or radio silence=ding more often?

I think this is sorta bogus. So far this OCI, I've received several NY CBs three days after the screener.Anonymous User wrote:Usually 48 hours is the max.1l2016 wrote:Generally speaking, how long do firms take before extending CB offers? Yeah, this is incredibly firm dependent. I did PLIP and had CBs ranging from day of to weeks later. I think that a little under a week was the average.Anonymous User wrote:I think this is sorta bogus. I've had as short as 4 hours after interview, to as long as 6 days - but a few firms have said 1-2 weeks.Anonymous User wrote:Yeah, this is incredibly firm dependent. Re: How long for CBs?
the vast majority happened within 48 hours. One did take about two weeks to get back to me though, and that is where I summered at actually.
