Does anyone know when they were given out in past years?

During the 10th week.
That was quickly followed with the option to extend our SA for a few weeks. Given the extra $ I accepted even though it meant giving up a break before returning to school. A couple other firms reportedly followed suit.

Is this for a NY firm with an office in TX? Doesn't sound like something I've ever heard of. That's pretty cool though.

As for at least 2 of the Big TX 3, it's last week of July/early August after their summer program ends (or the last summer has left -- sometimes because of splits one or two folks might stay after the official end date).

Offices in TX/OK. No ties to NYC.
The firm made the extension optional since a couple SAs had already booked their vacations.
