Skadden NY
Is Skadden NY comparable with Davis Polk, Simpson, and Cleary? How does Skadden NY compare to S&C and Cravath in New York?

Re: Skadden NY
If you disregard RSTLNE, the most common letters, "Skadden" is left with 4 which edges out "Cleary", but is even with "Simpson". "Davis Polk" is in a different tier.
As to the second question, "NY" is abbreviated for Skadden so that'll be the biggest difference. I've heard that the lay prestige is fairly equal since, when someone googles their rank, they're all top 5. Cravath has Taco Tuesdays though, so tie breaker to them.
Check chambers if you want a better idea of stuff. Most people haven't work in more than 1 of these places so their input won't be much more informative than what you get from chambers.

yes these are firms that are all comparable to one another. You just named some of the best biglaw firms in New York. They have a lot in common.
that's all you wanted to know?

So you're basically asking if the Vault firms #2-7 are similar. What do you think?

Re: Skadden NY
Does anyone know what Skadden (NY) looks for during CBs? Had one last week and trying to gage how it went.
