I summered in the intellectual property groups of two large firms in TX (Dallas/Houston). I received an offer at the first firm and expect one from the second. I definitely prefer the first over the second. The first firm requires a minimum of 5 weeks at the beginning of the summer.
Regardless, I am really interested in the Silicon Valley for IP work and was wondering whether it would be possible to split between these markets? Hopefully, someone will have some insight into this.
Potentially relevant:
Top 1/3 lower T14, no journal or moot court
Patent bar eligible but not EE/CS (It's B.S. Physics)
Strong ties to TX, No strong ties to Bay area (no family but a lot of friends and I can sell a strong interest).

Your question isn't clear.
You split 1L summer? You're talking about splitting the 2L summer b/w who?
