Title says it all. Firm does not conduct OCI at my school, however it does OCI at another school in the same city. Partner asks to meet at a restaurant/bar/lounge after he is done doing interviews at the other school.
Since I had not anticipated having interviews during this day, as my school's OCI does not start until later, I had previously planned to be out of state for a family commitment.
What is TCR on asking the partner to reschedule to meet another time? Would this annoy them/hurt my chances? (I feel as if meeting at a restaurant/bar/lounge might be better b/c of the opportunity for longer conversation, more relaxed atmosphere, etc.)
OR, should I just cancel my family plans? Doable, but would rather not.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Screening Interview with Partner at a Bar
Is this a legit screener that could lead to a callback? Or just an informational interview?
How bad do you want to work there? How many screeners do you have planned otherwise?
I'm inclined to say do whatever you can to go if its a legit screener.

OP here. It's a legit screener. Very interested in the firm. Have some other screeners lined up, but definitely trying to add more.

change the venue to a strip club. Other than that I say skip the family shit unless its like a wedding or something.
