Paying for CBs (3L edition!)

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Jul 29, 2014 11:21 pm

Hi all, I was wondering what the gang's thoughts were on paying for 3L callbacks when you already have a decent offer at another firm?

Some info: I'm happy where I'm at for the most part but was applying to a few select firms that I thought did better work in the practice area I'm interested in. I did a screener and they called me to say they were interested in doing a full round of interviews but seem to be implying that they don't want to pay for a callback interview. I'm out of the city the firm is in (major market Biglaw) and just don't know if it's a good idea to pay my own way. Anyone have any thoughts?

Sometimes they will reimburse you after the fact.

If it's biglaw, the will most likely reimburse you for the callback. I've never heard of a biglaw firm not paying for a callback.
