Let firms know you will be in the area?
I mass mailed New York since I go to a regional school and will be going to interview with a firm there in a week. Should I let some of the other firms I mass mailed in the area know that I will be there and if so how should I word it. I only applied to these places like two weeks ago so I worry I am following up without giving them enough time. Thanks in advance.

Definitely let them know. It's a 100% upside decision. Just say something along the lines of you applied, you're very excited about the firm, and you will be in town from _ to _ and would like to come in to interview if they can fit you in.Anonymous User wrote:I mass mailed New York since I go to a regional school and will be going to interview with a firm there in a week. No reason not to. Literal worst case scenario is they ignore you again.

Can anyone suggest a good subject line for an email like this. I'm having trouble thinking of something.

Lead with strongest selling point then reason for email.Anonymous User wrote:Can anyone suggest a good subject line for an email like this. I'm having trouble thinking of something.
Harvard 2L in NYC Aug. 3-5, interested in Summer 2015 position.
Top 10% GWU 2L in SF . . .
Purdue alumnus, Notre Dame 2L interested in . . . (If you were reaching out to a UG alumni at the firm)
Also, you can try calling recruiting. Just make sure you have a script so you don't stumble.
