Alternatives?

Post by Anonymous User » Mon Jul 28, 2014 2:11 pm

Just got not invited by a couple of firms and no responses from mass mailing. If I do not land a SA position, what are other options for legal employment at a law firm?

What do you mean by "not invited?" Did you summer for them and get no offered? Or are firms just not responding to your mass mails? Either way, the right answer is usually send more mass mails and reach out to partners who are alumni at your school. I recently had an "informational" phone call I set up after I hit up a partner about 2 weeks after my application. I somewhat subtly told him I had applied and hadn't gotten an interview scheduled yet and 2 days later I got an email from recruiting asking my availability to come in for what sounds like a call back. (They said it would take 3-4 hours).
