K&L Gates (Chicago)
Anybody have good/bad/thoughts/opinions to say about them? I've read chambers and other resources etc. Considering bidding on them for corporate work. I met a few attorneys from there that seemed cool. Thanks!

I don't know anything about K&L Gates's Chicago office or their preftige/quality for corporate . . . but if you're just talking about bidding (as opposed to accepting an offer), why in the world wouldn't you throw a bid out there? K&L Gates is a well-respected national law firm.

Because K&L Gates have experienced a mass exodus after it gobbled up a well-respected midsized Chicago firm. I've heard horrible things about their office politics. This article captures it precisely: --LinkRemoved--ResIpsa21 wrote:I don't know anything about K&L Gates's Chicago office or their preftige/quality for corporate . . . but if you're just talking about bidding (as opposed to accepting an offer), why in the world wouldn't you throw a bid out there? I met so many people during my Chicago interviews who GTFO'd of K&L Gates after having successful careers at Bell Boyd. Whole practice groups moved to other Chicago firms.

I would try to find information on the firm that isn't two years old.
