Credible reason for NY/Palo Alto/SF
I'm a socal native, but I bid heavily on NYC for better security and got some SF/PA interviews for OTIP. My question: how do I sell myself for these regions, I am interested in business litigation.

Tell the NY firms that NYC is the best city on the planet with the best lawyers on the planet and that it was a no brainer for you. They'll believe you.

Ridiculously enough, TCR, especially since you want to do business lit (is there another kind of lit in biglaw?). SF/PA is a little bit more restrictive from what I've heard. I'm not in that market but I've heard local connections and a demonstrated interest in tech companies are important. Being from California could help you -- just come up with a reasonably credible story about how you want to stay in your home state and some reason why you like the Bay Area.Luein wrote:Tell the NY firms that NYC is the best city on the planet with the best lawyers on the planet and that it was a no brainer for you.
