How do you know if a firm is paying for your travel?

Post by lawhopeful10 » Mon Jul 21, 2014 2:01 pm

A lot of the firms I am mass mailing are not located near my school. If a firm calls and asks if you could come in for an interview but also says when will you be in the area does that sound like it is a screener and they expect you to come on your own dime or they are going to pay for it. I also imagine it would be considered rude to ask something like that. Any advice in this area would be appreciated.

You should probably just ask. Also, if they ask you to come in from far away, it probably will not be just a screener. Again, you might want to ask about that too.

Thanks, and when they ask when can you come in/ be in the area are you supposed to give a specific date or can you say this week works what date is best for you. Sorry if this is a stupid question but this is obviously my first time going through this process.
