Pre-OCI Contact

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Jul 17, 2014 7:09 pm

A few people at my school have contacted firms pre-OCI that are coming to OCI next month. Is there any advantage to this? Are firms generally receptive to that? Seems sort of weird to do unless the firm doesn't come to your OCI.

I'm definitely contacting firms that are coming to my OCI and that I plan to bid on - I am reaching out to alumni there. Isn't that what you're supposed to do? I don't get what's weird about this.

It's not at all necessary, but people get neurotic over the summer waiting for oci. Don't worry

Yeah reaching out to alumns makes sense, but I think reaching out to the recruiting/HR people with the intention of interviewing before OCI is a little different.
