Mass mailing and resume collection: do the same thing twice?
A raising 2L here. Just learned a lot on TLS about the importance of mass mailing. However, I do have a question about it: my school held various resume collections online, through which I sent out some resumes. Should I still mass mailing those firms that I've already sent my resume to? Since the whole point of mass mailing is to give to law firms your resume/cover letter, I see no point in sending it via email again. Am I correct about this?

I agree, no point mass mailing AND doing resume collection. Once they have your materials, you're all set. The only exception would be if you're applying to separate offices and you have reason to believe that it'll help to get your resume in front of a recruiter in the other market.
