Kirkland no-contact pre OCI
So one of my best friend's from college's best friend is a partner from Kirkland. As background, partner and I definitely know one another--have attended weddings together, I went to her 30th bday party (which was really small), etc.
I reached out to her twice in the past two months because the partner just moved to my city (she's never lived here), but she hasn't responded. This is odd because (i) presumably she's new in town and would generally be excited about the activity I was asking about (going wine tasting) and (ii) I pinged her personal and firm email, so even if it was marked spam at one, unlikely to be marked as spam for both.
Does Kirkland have an unofficial no-contact rule for rising 2Ls? Anyone know? My school has no prohibition on this sort of thing, and, frankly, I probably don't have the background to work at KE anyway. So I was just genuinely being friendly, and she is genuinely being uncharacteristically quiet.
Beyond just being slammed, seems odd she didn't write back at all to say, "I'm slammed...let's catch up in a few months."
Thoughts?

Please confirm whether or not you're serious. if this is trolling it's perfectly placed on the edge because I could imagine someone actually thinking this. if i had to put money I'd guess trolling though

Find out if she is interviewing at your school's OCI. If so, I would recommend bidding on an interview with Kirkland, so you can find out once and for all whether she wants to go to the wine tasting.
In the unlikely event that this is serious: dude, she's probably just busy and didn't get time to respond. Either that or she doesn't like you.

Not a troll. I did reach out to friend from college to get partner's personal email (I didn't have it bc we haven't talked in a smidge). You can't force someone to hang with you, but she's normally super-friendly and would have jumped at the chance to hang, and I was wondering if recruiting is the issue. Sounds like it isn't!

I meant ask the best friend from college why you're getting the cold shoulder. Any bad blow & tequila nights together you blocked out but slipped thru on her? Y'know kirkland goes hard, then way stone-wallier.Anonymous User wrote:Not a troll.
