Are they pretty coveted during OCI? I didn't even know about their summer bonus history and additional year-end bonus until I saw this.

I didn't get the sense that they are.

But law students are allowed to pay off debt with prefstige.

This overwhelmingly applies to K-JDs oblivious to the realities of adulthood. I'm not saying folks with WE don't suffer from the same delusion but it seems much more prevalent among K-JDs.
