I'm at a non BIGLAW firm this summer and they only give out offers if there is a need for an associate (only two SA this summer). Rumor is they are taking on one or two associate laterals. Is this good news or bad news for me potentially receiving an offer? You can spin it that they are expanding hence the need for a lateral or two, or you can spin it that any potential need for me just got evaporated.
Nothing I can really do about it, just curiosity.
