Have a paid summer position as a 1L so quite happy to just have that issue is with not being paid what they said in my offer letter. I received my salary as agreed to, but i was also to receive a moving stipend "as soon as practical" after moving out there. It's now been 4 weeks and been through 2 pay cycles. I've talked to HR but they always tell me its on the way but won't give me a concrete date. I spoke to my boss and he was pissed it hasn't arrived and said he would help but that was a week ago and still nothing. I am thinking HR is brushing me off b/c i'm just a summer and so not a huge priority.
How do i deal with this issue?
This isn't a place that will offer for 2L or after grad so i'm not worried about that i just don't want to be an unnecessary pain in the ass over something as small as this.
Anyone confront this as a summer or in real life and know how to deal with it?

Re: Issue with Pay for the summer
Is there an accounting department or similar?
Have you asked HR for a firm date?
What kind of employer is this?
Sometimes reimbursements just take time. Like a month. If it's a reputable place I'm sure you'll get your money.

Re: Issue with Pay for the summer
Each time i've asked it's "soon", "this pay cycle or next pay cycle", etc. Another summer in my group is having the same issue and HR said it was to be deposited last friday - and it was a no show.dixiecupdrinking wrote:Is there an accounting department or similar?
