Legal Practice Honors on Resume

Post by Anonymous User » Tue Jun 17, 2014 10:02 am

1) What do I put on resume for legal practice honors? My T14 doesn't say how many students per section get honors... so can I just say "Legal Practice Honors" without any explanation or should I say "Legal Practice Honors (awarded to the highest grades in first-year Legal Practice Course)"? Or... does it matter because the recruiters will know what LP honors is?

2) Unlike some T14s we don't get a GPA boost for a high grade in legal practice... (I know Northwestern's LP is graded). So does the H change at all my bidding process (~3.5) or not at all?

Thanks!

Just put "Legal Practice Honors" in the honors section of your resume without explanation. It's self-explanatory, and explaining it the way you did above sounds douchey.

When I applied for assistant lawyer position, I mentioned only legal practice honors in my resume. I don’t think that there is need to give explanation in resume. You can give explanation at time of interview but most of recruiters know it already.
