Job Opportunity (Video Game Startup in Silicon Valley)
Hey All,
Not sure if this is an appropriate post, but I didn't see anything in the rules prohibiting it.
I've posted on here off and on for some time now about law, video games and so forth. I know many of you have had your careers derailed by any number of circumstances, and I also know that many of you are smart and hard working. So I figure it is worth reaching out and seeing if anyone is interested in a different career path.
Below is a link to a job posting we just opened up. It may not be the glorious Biglaw yellow brick road to awesomeness, but it's an honest opportunity to start up a real career in an industry that's doing pretty dang well (mobile games).

It's entry level, but we're planning on mentoring the person into a position of significant responsibility. Even though it isn't a legal position, I also would be open to teaching the hire a bit about law and the structuring of legal contracts.
You're welcome to PM me if you're interested or just directly apply through the link. I'll ask our HR person to flag resumes coming in from people from law schools for my review. I will say that I don't particularly care about law grades; I'm more focused on drive, intelligence and interest in mobile/video games.
Best,
Shawn
CEO @ Quark Games
P.S. If you have any questions that you think would be relevant to everyone, feel free to ask them here.

Actually thinking about it. Depending on how a project I'm currently working on pans out, I might have an opening or two in a few months.smaug wrote:guano, why don't you post about non-law jobs so you can help TLSers get paid?guano wrote:Thanks for doing this.

ok, I will check in on you in two months
ETA: to be clear, I will check in with you to make fun of you again, not to seek actual employment advice from you

I didn't say 1 or 2 months. A few can just as easily mean 4 or 5.smaug wrote:qfpguano wrote:Actually thinking about it.
