Re: USAO/FPD -- do they contact your current employer?
Current AUSA - I'm pretty sure they will only contact as references the people you list as references. They're not going to really care about whether your background stuff checks out (i.e. you worked for who you say you worked for) until they're actually running a background check (i.e. after they hire you). For one thing, no one has time for that. For another, employers are usually aware that candidates may not want their current bosses to be contacted about a current job hunt.

For background check, they contacted my most recent employer.
