I managed to grab a V40 1LSA. I am really enjoying the work and highly doubt I'd choose another firm over the one I'm at. It's not my preferred market, but the firm would let me split next summer with their office in my #1 choice.
Would it be crazy to skip OCI, or just bid hyper aggressively (V10-ish) only using 6-10 slots? I am T10 and median.

Could you let us know what markets you're referring to?Anonymous User wrote:I managed to grab a V40 1LSA. I am really enjoying the work and highly doubt I'd choose another firm over the one I'm at. Has your 1L firm already extended an offer to return? Even if it has, what do you have to lose by doing OCI, targeting your preferred market? You might have a similar experience at another firm in the region in which you'd actually like to practice.

Just bid 100% DC and see what happens. You might get lucky, otherwise you strike out and no harm done.Anonymous User wrote:OP: I'm in NYC, but am looking at DC

I wouldn't skip because it's the best and easiest time to network and research other firms. Skipping is a waste.
