Big 4 internship as a 2L? Is it worth it?

Post by Anonymous User » Thu Jun 12, 2014 1:07 am

hi,
I have a finance degree from top 20 UG.
Now at a T25 law school.

I was offered $55k salary at a big four after junior year of college.
I turned it down and came to law school instead.

After 1L, my grades aren't good enough for Big law as I had hoped.
I am now considering applying for a big 4 internship as a 2L.
I am actually interested in tax law. I was just hoping to work at big law's tax dept. instead of at a big4
I am also hoping to pass the CPA exam before I graduate law school.

With this in mind, does anybody know what the starting salary is like at a big four
for JD/CPAs?? I've heard you get a bonus for passing the CPA but my question is really focused
on any JD advantage, if there are any...

Would a JD/CPA graduates start out as an entry-level associate, same as a recent college grad?
What would the salary be like? (assuming major market nyc/chi/sf/etc.)
