I'm interested in the East coast generally, and the Southeast (Atlanta and Tallahassee) particularly. Really screwed up Fall. Top 1/3 Spring to balance out to a bit below median.
I spent a bunch of time preparing to be bottom 20%. What am I looking at now as far as my prospects go?

I'd say that you have a good chance at finding a job.
1. Practice interview questions. Get rid of any nervous ticks you may have. Spin a great story for the market you'll interviewing for and for the practice group (or transactional/lit question) that you may anticipate. Be cheerful. Make sure you have at least two good outfits. If you're a dude, get a blue and a charcoal suit with nice shoes.
2. Go to as many job fairs as you can in the markets that you're interested in. Although it is a pain to pay the train/airfare to different places, the cost is negligible relative to between having a BigLaw job (or not).
3. Get ready to mass mail right now by having your cover letters tailored--and give CSO a chance to edit them as well. You want to send them to firms that you won't see or interview with at OGI or these fairs. Although it's shitty doing all of this, it's well worth your time.
Best of luck!
