Firm info compilation for bidding
Is there a compiled list on the forums somewhere of things our career services doesn't really tell us for V100 firms?
For example, things like how popular a firm is, how grade selective they are, what their strongest practice area is, etc.
Or are these things we have to individually search and research for each firm?

Not looking for info that's idiosyncratic to a school.flawschoolkid wrote:Every school's placement is different, and all the other informational is available via NALP/Chambers&Partners/Firm Websites/Vault/etc.iliketurtles123 wrote: Or are these things we have to individually search and research for each firm?
For example, Skadden is known to be less grade selective than other V15's. How this affects you will depend on your school and grades but it's general info that's still helpful. Also has a strong corp. practice group.
Just wondering if someone has compiled a list with general info like that...
It would be very helpful to get as a baseline for bidding lists

as far as firm character and personality, I think we were supposed to get as much the gist of it as we could from the firm receptions. just talking to attorneys helps too.

IMO it's always idiosyncratic to school.iliketurtles123 wrote:Not looking for info that's idiosyncratic to a school.flawschoolkid wrote:Every school's placement is different, and all the other informational is available via NALP/Chambers&Partners/Firm Websites/Vault/etc.iliketurtles123 wrote: Or are these things we have to individually search and research for each firm?
