My update said I'd been referred to the hiring official, but nothing else.

My status says "received." I suppose they haven't reviewed my app yet.

USA Jobs. Just checked, DOC link says referred to hiring official.

Click on the "Received" link, and it will take you to a DOC-specific site that has more detailed information.
