Longest wait time for an offer?

Post by Anonymous User » Wed Jun 04, 2014 9:43 pm

What's the longest wait time you've had for an offer at a firm from interview to offer? (FT employment only.) Just curious. Please provide type of firm (i.e., big, medium, small, solo, etc.).

Thanks -- that gives me some hope here! I was told by a recruiter that if I didn't hear at two weeks, it was "dead." Also a big firm.

Five months for a lateral offer. They were evaluating whether they had a need and eventually decided that they did.

Five months? Wow. But good for you, just horrible that they made you wait that long. I'm waiting on a lateral position as well, and that's my fear (that it may be months before a decision is made).

I had already accepted another (better) offer at that point, so it was no big deal.

I got an offer almost 9 months after I got rejected. But it was a gov't job where they had one position immediately and hoped to have more in the future. They got more funding unexpectedly and asked if I was still interested.

August CB to Christmas ding for an SA. They were evaluating whether they had a need (satellite office, niche practice group) and eventually decided that they didn't

Nope, I had found something else in the meantime.
