Mass Mailing

Post by Anonymous User » Tue May 27, 2014 5:25 pm

Quick Question: When is it too early to start mass mailing for an SA? I was thinking mid-June, but that may be too early? Does anyone have any practical experience leaning them one way or the other?

Thanks!

IMO it's smarter to wait until the summers are out the door, because recruiting has their hands full. That said, you should have all your cover letters written, have reached out to alums to talk about their firms and practice areas, etc, well in advance of then.

I was told by a number of larger firms when I mailed that they like to receive the mailing a bit before OCI time at schools (so towards the end of July) because that is their recruiting season and it allows them to coordinate things in that market.

Smaller firms, varies too widely to tell. I would email their HR person (if they have one) and ask when is a good time for them.
