Any success at getting Big Law support staff positions?

Post by legalese_retard » Wed May 21, 2014 12:00 pm

Wondering if recent law grads have had any success applying for support staff positions in the big firms? Not talking about staff attorney gigs, but working as a secretary, paralegal, HR, conflicts analysist, etc? The only job postings at the larger firms are for support staff. Plus a lot of these positions (even entry level), pay better than what you would receive as an attorney at a small firm. I've been applying to these positions with no success. I get the feeling that firms immediately reject you once they see that you have a JD. Anyone else doing the same?
