3L OCI and transfer students

Post by Anonymous User » Tue May 20, 2014 5:23 pm

Any fellow transfers out there that went through OCI 3L year? I landed a biglaw job but it was my backup plan in a secondary market (not trying to sound like a douche). I aimed for Chicago last fall, but struck out everywhere. I was top 15% at my T1 school during 1L, which was clearly not good enough to break into Chicago's market. If I land an offer at my SA gig (knock on wood), I was considering trying to trade up and land a Chicago gig. I was fortunate enough to do well 2L year ( at MVP) and ended up somewhere around the top 15% with my new grades. I didn't take any fluff/seminar classes, only purely doctrinal with strict curves (tax, choice of law, evidence etc). Anyone go through a similar situation and see better results because of the new schools GPA during 3L OCI?
