Yeah surprising lack of non-firms in general, not just for 3Ls. Is it always like this? I'm going the full on firm route, but I know a few friends who we're expecting a decent amount of non firm positions

I can't find anything anywhere about when the bids will come out. I need to make travel arrangements! Does anyone have any idea when to expect results?

What kind of yield is normal for things like this? I feel dumb for not using all 20 bids, but I just couldn't bring myself to write any more cover letters.
And to the anon above, it seemed like all of my PS were from firms that are in markets that I have on my resume. If you're aiming DC and NYC, could that be why you didn't get many interviews? And I'd go, even if you don't get pulled as an alternate for the others. If those two firms go to your OCI, then that's two extra bids in August, and if they don't, then you'd be foregoing an opportunity to interview with a firm. Either way, you'll be kicking yourself in the spring if you don't have anything lined up and you passed on two interviews this early in the game.

Surprised that I even got any, considering I only made bid on firms that didn't require a cover letter.

yeah I'm thinking about going... but I'm hesitant because I have to go to SFIPLA on Aug 27th in San Fran; the very next day. So, yeah... scheduling issue.

The one where I was not invited did not accept cover letters and my resume reflected no ties to the area of their main office.

The email said that we were able to update our resumes, but I haven't been able to all day.
It's awesome having an actual schedule though!

It looks like last year a lot of firms waited to start offering callbacks until after OCI season, and that seemed to be the consensus on the timeline from my interviewers. Did anyone else get a similar feel?

I interviewed in Charlotte and D.C. and I was told we would hear back by the end of this week. I was extended a call back offer for one of the Charlotte firms yesterday morning, so there may be a chance they'll move faster than we think.

I interviewed for a few different markets. I'm normally too chicken-shit to ask the question in the interview, but a Nashville firm mentioned getting SEMJF people back earlier rather than later. That's all I got though.
