Dress code for welcome party at partner's home? Forum

Trivial question , self-explanatory title. I'm a 1L summer (female) unsure as to what to wear to a welcome party being hosted at a partner's home. Firm is business casual during the work week.

The invitation did not have a dress code. Would a "business friendly" summer dress be appropriate? A nice skirt and a blouse?

Were you assigned an associate mentor? Ask your assigned person. Associate mentors are helpful and can assist with navigating the social aspects of the firm.

I was a 1L summer associate and my mentor was awesome. Use your associate mentor. I wouldn't rely on this forum to determine what to wear to a social event sponsored by the firm.
