The invitation did not have a dress code. Would a "business friendly" summer dress be appropriate? A nice skirt and a blouse?

Dress code for welcome party at partner's home?
Trivial question
, self-explanatory title. I'm a 1L summer (female) unsure as to what to wear to a welcome party being hosted at a partner's home. Firm is business casual during the work week.
The invitation did not have a dress code. Would a "business friendly" summer dress be appropriate? A nice skirt and a blouse?

I'd do cap sleeved sheath dress (which can work in cocktail, biz cas and biz formal).

Were you assigned an associate mentor? Ask your assigned person. Associate mentors are helpful and can assist with navigating the social aspects of the firm.
I was a 1L summer associate and my mentor was awesome. Use your associate mentor. I wouldn't rely on this forum to determine what to wear to a social event sponsored by the firm.
