I would consider DOJ Slip in the Civil Rights Division next summer if you can get it; and extern with the ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center; Lawyer's Committee or something like that. Then clerk for a federal appellate judge, maybe follow it with a district judge. Apply to DOJ Honors and a bunch of fellowships. Hope to catch on permanently from there.
