posting anon because i work against them all the time.
Weitz is a really respected plaintiff's firm, and is supposedly a powerhouse in NY. its LA office on the other hand has had some management troubles lately, but its still no joke of a firm.

I really wouldn't call it a "no joke" firm. They're ok. But they don't strike fear like certain other firms do. Earnings wise, they are top dogs. But they do mostly asbestos extortion - its pretty hard to fuck those up from a plaintiff's perspective. At least in NY, I can think of several other plaintiff-side firms that I would rank ahead of them.
