BIG 4 Consulting/Advisory (Exit Ops)

Post by lsatneedisaymore » Sat Apr 19, 2014 9:23 pm

What are potential exit ops for people going into the regulatory advisory group at a big 4? Not tax related, but focusing on regulatory law. Is a potential big fed regulatory job (SEC, CFTC, etc...) down the line out of the question? Is a big 4 job generally better than mid-size law?

Anecdotally there is. I know that some big law firms will hire people that do this type of work b/c it parallels some of the work these firms are doing w/ Dodd-Frank compliance.

Not sure about gov/. Just make sure you are barred and don't stay in the game too long.
