Big Law 1 L SA or USAO in Target Location? Forum

In spite of my bad grades and against all odds, I landed a Big Law 1L SA offer in a city that is of no interest to me in a long run.
I also have a USAO offer in my dream location.
Splitting the summer is not an option. I am wondering what option would be better in the long run?
Could 1 L Big Law gig lead to 2 L summer offer in another city within the same firm?
Would other law firms be more likely to consider me for 2 L summer because of 1 L Big Law experience?
Should I work for USAO and have an opportunity to network in my dream location?

I'm at T-10 school.

Why do threads like this keep coming up? Take the damn money. USAO is not going to give you a job after school, and while fun, a 1L internship won't really do much of anything for you.

This should not even be a question. Take the SA. It could potentially turn into a permanent offer, and a permanent offer in a city you don't want to live in is better than not having one at all.

I can only see the USAO thing if your dream location is SF, and you have no pre-existing ties for OCI. Even then, your ties would be weak though. And if your grades are bad, you'll have to bid NYC anyway .

Having a USAO internship wouldn't be enough to qualify as "ties" to a market. People vastly over-inflate the importance / impact of a USAO internship on here.
