How does one express an interest in financial services lit?
I am certainly interested in it, as I enjoy working on borrower cases as much as any other, but any answer I come up with sounds lame and manufactured.

that's just a reality of your position if you don't have relevant work experience. just try and marshall anything and everything you can say about why you think this. if you actually do, you can think of something that comes across as sincere and genuine.
