What makes someone a good Tax associate?

Post by Hutz_and_Goodman » Sun Mar 09, 2014 1:17 pm

I'm interested in what skills make for a good Tax associate. I've enjoyed the course work I've done in tax a lot. I have a background in mathematics/finance, so working with numbers comes easily. I had planned to do litigation, but I'm starting to question whether I wouldn't be better off with tax because it seems like there are probably better exit options and I like it. I would love to hear from anyone currently working as a tax associate about the day to day of your job.
