Re: Big 4
Curious, why would anyone take a tax job at a big 4 if coming from a good school? Is it only when they couldn't get Big Law? Any other reason to go Big 4 over Big Law?

Re: Big 4
Most people with biglaw do not reject biglaw and seek big 4. The only reasons I can think why people would prefer big 4 over big law is a) that they really, really wanted to do tax, but could not get on the biglaw tax department (super-unlikely), b) they would rather be consultants and not lawyers, c) international/foreign background so they might want to move quickly back to their country.Anonymous User wrote:Curious, why would anyone take a tax job at a big 4 if coming from a good school? b) is rare, but I can see it for some people being a legitimate reason.
c) is also rare, but I can imagine someone taking PWC cause PWC will also have an office in their country, whereas biglaw will not.

Re: Big 4
i dont think b is that rare--i know a good amount of people at my school where they are actively seeking big 4 because they do not want to practice "traditional law" but want their JD so they are not just doing compliance work at the big 4Pokemon wrote:Most people with biglaw do not reject biglaw and seek big 4.
