Canceling Judicial Internship Interview on the Day Of?

Post by kingjones59 » Wed Feb 26, 2014 6:44 pm

I am supposed to have an interview with a State Supreme Court Justice tomorrow at 3:30pm. However, I just received an offer for a 1L SA. I obviously want the SA over the internship but at this point it is after 5 so I won't be able to get ahold of the Judge's assistant until tomorrow to say that I am not coming. Is this bad practice if I already have an offer that I am going to accept? I know that judges are weird and I do not want to go into the interview with no intention of taking it.

Don't waste the judges time. Email if you can. If not, call first thing in the morning and explain. They'll understand.

congrats.
