I refuse to wear STRIPED SUITS. Problem? (Bus formal)
Will this be an issue with 1L employer? What about in practice? I just find stripes tacky and best left for 1980s bankers. Will I be able to get by with just navy, charcoal, and lighter grey solids?

Seriously? Doesn't common sense inform you that this is a non-issue?
I'm curious as to exactly what level of neurotic paranoia would necessitate asking this question, and if there are any other ways it manifests in your life.

Stupid question that shouldn't be anonymous.
Although, I agree with you. I also don't wear striped suits. All solid. I think it looks more professional and cleaner.

Only an issue if you also refuse to wear white shoes or, during your off-time, nantucket reds.

Striped suits just seem so...car-salesman-ey. You know. Just doesn't come off as "polished" as a well fitted solid navy or grey.

I've literally never met an attorney who wears a stripped suite. For the record, I've only met maybe a dozen or two attorneys, but all wore solid color.

It's all situational, like this would definitely be OK to do:

dude, if you wear a solid colored suit to your interviews, there won't BE a 1L employer to worry about.Anonymous User wrote:Will this be an issue with 1L employer? What about in practice?
