1L Summer Jobs in Boston
I'm a CLS student with a tech background hunting for jobs in Boston. Thus far, Boston patent firms have been giving me fairly meagre responses and seem to be hiring 2Ls only. I also, unfortunately, think I may have missed the judicial internship train. Anyone have any advice on companies that might be offering internships in their legal departments in Boston? Or anyone have any advice otherwise on firm jobs that might still be open? I'm open to anything as long as it's in Boston. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If you're interested in IP stuff, there's a fairly robust startup scene in Boston. EMC and Carbonite have posted for In-House interns, and I'd expect that more will follow as February bleeds into March.

A lot of in house positions haven't even opened up/been posted yet. I would guess that these would be a good placement for you. I know people who got Boston area (and other area) in house positions (great positions - and paid) all the way into May. You could send emails to in house departments inquiring about 1L summer positions as well, as there are some that are never posted.tech-law-student wrote:I'm a CLS student with a tech background hunting for jobs in Boston. Big things here are networking and showing ties to the area, so I think deciding to spend the summer in Boston is a great choice. (Be sure to go to all the firm events and network a ton while here!)
