As a foreign citizen with a green card, if I form an LLC with an American citizen (50-50% ownership), do I actually have equal ownership (e.g. in the event of some falling out between the co-founders down the road)? Are green card citizens allowed to form an LLC (and have actually equal rights to an American citizen forming one)?
Yes, I'm attempting to start company while in law school and feel the law and business implications in this area while seemingly straightforward is actually unclear.
